Unforgettable Autumn in Japan

Autumn (16 November to 30th November)

We had a wonderful time in Japan this autumn. It was our first trip to Japan and prior to the trip I was wondering if I should make it a DIY trip or to join a tour group. In the end we decided to do it as a DIY trip.

I wanted this trip to be successful so I carefully drew up a detailed plan, prebooked all our accomodations, got ready all our destination mapcodes, rented a car with a English GPS and rented a wifi router for 24/7 unlimited internet connection.

The many hours of planning paid off, we had the most memorable trip, every attraction was a delight and we achieved 99% of all planned attractions. Though we have no knowledge of the Japanese language and was in Japan for the first time we did not get lost at all. We had a awesome 16 days.

Our route in Japan

In the 16 days we had driven over 2200km and all in for this entire DIY trip it costed ¥456000 (SGD$5700.00) for both of us. The cost included flights, insurance, rental car, petrol, accommodation, entrance tickets, food and shopping.

This was the our first time seeing autumn colors and it was so awesome and magical. Japanese celebrates autumn colors in a big way which definitely make Japan one of the best places in the world to see autumn.
